Creation of the Laboratory of Emerging Technology Companies

Neolaw., Represented by its founding partner, Rosely Cruz, together with two professors from Direito GV, Alexandre Pacheco and Monica Steffen, created a multidisciplinary teaching space called Criação do Laboratório de Empresas Nascentes de Tecnologia (LENT) [the Laboratory of Emerging Technology Companies].

This laboratory, which has become a compulsory subject at FGV, provides an innovative learning experience in which Law, Economics and Administration undergraduate students can have the opportunity to experience the reality of the entrepreneurial environment, especially in the area of technology.

Each semester, a course focused on a different theme is held, in which students debate and performed activities related to real cases, presented by partner entities, and learn to deal with challenges, mainly legal, for the creation of micro, small and medium companies in Brazil.

In August 2013, the first edition of the laboratory was launched, which focused on accelerating micro and small technology-based companies aimed at offering e-commerce services. In this semester module, the course was sponsored by Buscapé Company and the neolaw. Office, in addition to the collaboration of accelerators Wayra, Aceleratech, Artemisia and the Inspirare Institute.

For Rosely Cruz, it is very important that law students have contact with the entrepreneurial universe while they are still graduating and with real cases that they will face in the future. We will train better law agents.
